Hands-On Classes provide professionals with the skills and knowledge to integrate skills learned to real world application. Small groups will learn basic and advanced skills as well as essential techniques necessary for effective fire combat operations. Certified and experienced trainers provide one-on-one guidance in a hands-on setting.

Important notes for all hands on evolution attendees

1. Students must bring their own NFPA-compliant bunker or technical rescue gear. MAFFC will not supply it.
2. Bunker gear ensemble includes NFPA-compliant turnout coat and pants, helmet, hood, firefighting boots, and gloves.
3. Technical rescue gear ensemble includes jumpsuit or BDU's compliant helmet, steel-toed boots, compliant eye protection, and gloves.
4. Bunker gear is required for all Hands On Evolutions unless the class is listed as a technical rescue class. Technical rescue gear as listed above is required for students attending Technical Rescue Evolutions.
5. MAFFC will not supply SCBA's for Hands On Evolution attendees. It is recommended that attendees bring a spare SCBA bottle.
